IAAO Scholarships

With diminishing budget resources each year, consider resources provided by the IAAO in pursuing IAAO educational opportunities and events. Several different scholarships exist and may be awarded to those that demonstrate financial need. Would you like to attend this year’s IAAO conference or take an IAAO class but have been unable to secure funds?  Submit a scholarship application.

2012 Annual Continuing Education Report Requirements

It's time to report annual continuing education. Please use the new 2011-2012 NCTCA Continuing Education Reporting form.

Now Accepting Award Nominations

Neal Dixon, Chairman of the NCTCA Awards Committee, announced this week that the committee is now accept nominations for the Tax Collector of the Year and the Outstanding Tax Employee of the Year awards. The submission deadline is Friday, March 2, 2012. 

Getting NCTCA Certified

Please remember if you are planning to submit your application for certification in the North Carolina Tax Collectors Association it must be received in my office by 12/31/2011. See application and requirements

The North Carolina Tax Collectors Association Officers would like to thank all of you that work in the County, City, and Town offices for your hard work collecting taxes, particularly delinquent taxes. 

Congratulations Honorees

Join us in honoring two special North Carolina tax professionals who received awards at the NCTCA's 2011 Spring Conference. Congratulations to the 2011 Tax Collector of the Year, Neal Dixon. Mr. Dixon was selected for his outstanding work in Mecklenburg County. Congratulations to our 2011 Tax Employee of the Year Margaret Goldston. Ms. Goldston was selected for her outstanding service in Chatham County.

Reporting Continuing Education

If you are certified by the NCTCA you must submit a form for the current reporting year which runs from May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011.

Please use the Continuing Education Report form to document hours.

Nominations for Tax Collector of the Year

If you know anyone who would be a good candidate for either "Tax Collector of the Year" or "Outstanding Tax Employee of the Year" please nominate them by March 4, 2011.

2011-12 NCTCA Dues Notice

NCTCA Members - 2011-12 NCTCA dues of $5.00 are now due.

2011 Depreciation Schedules

The 2011 Cost Index and Depreciation Schedules are now available on the NCDOR website.
